إن تطور الفكر التربوي للفنون يعكس فكر ثقافات خاصة ومتميزة، لونت كل حضارة إنسانية بخصوصية فريدة مميزة، وهذه الخصوصية لا تنفي وجود خصائص مشتركة مع باقي الحضارات الإنسانية، وتعكس الفنون الكثير من التعددية الثقافية لما تتميز به من (تشابه واختلاف) (وتنوع ووحدة) ، وتضم الفنون وحدة العناصر الأساسية المكونة للفكر التربوي لهذه العناصر بحيث تتمايز وتتكامل داخل كل حضارة، كما تتنوع أيضاً في الحضارة الواحدة، وتعكس فن متميز جاء نتاج لمعتقدات واتجاهات وقيم جمالية على مر العصور.
وهذا الكتاب محاولة للانفتاح على الفكر التربوي للفنون المصرية المحلية والعالمية في محاولة لتكوين الوعي بالذات الحضارية، وتكوين الوعي بالآخر، واحترام فكره الثقافي بهدف التواصل الحضاري ذلك لأن الحوار الثقافي ينمو ويزدهر وفق منطق التفاعل والمثاقفة، أما الانغلاق على الذات فيؤصل للرؤية أحادية الجانب التي لا تغذيها روافد التنوع داخل الفكر والفن.. كما يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى التواصل الحضاري واحترام الآخر من خلال إلقاء الضوء على المشترك الأنساني العام بين مختلف الحضارات لتأصيل بنية معرفية للتعايش الحضاري المعاصر تنطلق من الفكر والفن.
