هذا الكتاب هو مما أفاض به سماحة السيد محمد رضا الحسيني الشيرازي من مختلف العلوم العقدية والفقهية والأصولية التي درّسها في حياته الشريفة ومنها (كتاب الطهارة). ولأهمية هذه الدروس عمل على جمعها السيد محمد علي الحسيني الشيرازي، ووضعها في مجلدين تضمنت تعليقات وآراء سماحة الإمام علي هذا الكتاب – الطهارة – في جميع مبانيه الأصولية والفقهية وغيرها، إذ تناول مسائله بأسلوب علمي بياني يقود إلى الغرض من المسألة مستنداً في ذلك إلى عنونة الأبواب وترتيبها وفق المنهج العلمي المتسلسل ابتداءً بذكر المسألة وتعريفها ثم بيان أطرافها والأقوال فيها وأدلتها ثم خلاصة كل دليل. وقد ذيّلها بـ [تعليقات آية الله السيد محمد رضا الشيرازي من بداية كتاب الطهارة من العروة الوثقى إلى المسألة 11 من فصل الراكد بلا مادة] وهي أوراق تتضمن تعقيبات سماحته على كتاب الطهارة مع بعض القرائن جاءت بعنوان (هوامش على الكتاب).
