عبد الكريم برشيد كاتب صحفي ومؤلف ومخرج مسرحي وُلد سنة 1943 بمدينة بركان شمال المغرب.

السعيد بلبشير سنة 1983.
عضو اتحاد كتاب المغرب.
رئيس تحرير مجلة التأسيس-دفاتر مسرحية والتي أصدرت من مدينة مكناس سنة 1986.
يشغل حاليا مهام مندوب إقليمنذر حياته للمسرح ابداعا ونقدا وتنظيرا، وهو الاب الروحي للاحتفالية في المسرح؛ ذلك انه إلى جانب كونه مبدعا متميزا بنصوصه المسرحية ذات الطابع التجريبي قد قدّم التنظير على شكل بيانات تحمل اسم "بيانات المسرح الاحتفالي"؛ وقد جمع هذه البيانات في كتاب سمّاه "المسرح الاحتفالي"، ثم تلت ذلك كتب نقدية تحمل سمات التنظير أهمها: "الكائن والممكن في المسرح الاحتفالي" و"الاحتفالية: مواقف مضادّة" و"الاحتفالية في أفق التسعينات" و"غابة الاشارات" لوزارة الثقافة على اقليم محافظة الخميسات

المسرح الاحتفالي شكل مسرحي يعتمد على التراث الأدبي العربي والأشكال الفنية الشعبية ويمتد ليشمل شكل العرض المسرحي ومعمار المسرح، وأسلوب الأداء التمثيلي والعلاقة الحميمة بين الممثل والجمهور. والمسرح الاحتفالي ينطلق من نقطة أساسية وهي أن الإنسان كائن احتفالي بطبعه، أي أنه قبل أن يكتشف الكلام فقد اكتشف الحفل، ليعبر عن حاجياته وإحساساته الداخلية.
وهذا الكتاب يشكل مرجعاً أساسياً لمعرفة حدود الاحتفالية، لكنه لن يكون بديلاً عن الرجوع إلى الأصول كما يقول المؤلف. والكتاب في مضمونه يركز على منطلقات هذا المسرح، وفكره ومنهجه في البحث وأسسه الجمالية.
يتحدث المؤلف عن المسرح العربي الذي يرى أنه قد ولد يوم ولد المجتمع العربي وهو في تركيبه مخالف للمسرح اليوناني الغربي لأنه مرتبط بشروط جغرافية وتاريخية واجتماعية وذهنية ونفسية مختلفة. كما يتناول مرحلة البحث في المواد الخام ويتحدث عن المصدر القرآني في الإنشاء المسرحي والمصدر الفرعوني والصوفي والتاريخي في الإنشاء المسرحي، ويعرض المؤلف للاحتفالية من خلال الإبداع، متخذاً من ابن الرومي نموذجاً.
