مجموعة الصور التى نقدمها هى كلها نتاج ثلاث ميدانية قمت بها والمرحومة الدكتورة كوثر عبد الرسول الى النوبة المصرية القديمة قبل التهجير كنوع من حفظ التراث النوبي فى مكانه الأصلي قبل أن يندثر تحت مياه بحيرة السد العالى.
الدراسة الأولى في قرية سيالة والعلاقى لمدة اسبوعين فى يناير 1962 وكان الاهتمام موجها الى الكنوز والعبابدة فى سياله وكذلك فى العلاقى. الدراسة الثانية فى شهر سبتمبر 1962، في شمال بلاد الكنوز الى قرشة وسياله ثم المالكى والسنجارى من بلاد العليقات، وأخيرا الدر وتوشكى من بلاد الفديجة فى جنوب النوبة المصرية.
