ولد عام 1960 بالقاهرة.
حاصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة - القسم المدني - جامعة القاهرة.
يعمل مديراً لإدارة التفتيش الفني بهيئة تعاونيات البناء والإسكان بمدينة نصر.
عضو اتحاد الكتاب بمصر, ومجلس إدارة ندوة شعراء العروبة, وسكرتير جمعية العقاد الأدبية.
نشر أعماله في العديد من الصحف والمجلات المصرية والعربية.
دواوينه الشعرية: نقوش على شفتين 1985 - قدمت للحب استقالة 1991 - لولاي ماكنت أنثى 1993 - صائدة القلوب 1995.

Book Description
"مرارتي فرقعت" والنار في كبدي من منظر البغط البيضاء يا ولدى، يا ليت من رشّحوا بالمال أنفسهم، قد وفروا كسوةً للشعب في بلدي، فهذه "البفتة" البيضاء لوضعت منها الجلابيب ما احتجنا لمدِّ يَدِ! مال الدعاية هذا لو نوزعُهُ، على الغلابة صاروا مثلما العمد ما وجدت لدينا حافياً أبداً، وما وجدت فقيراً عاري الجسد. يا من لأجل انتخاب بات في قلق، ويبتغي عوضاَ في الفوز "بالزبد" كم ذا صرفت من الأموال في سفه، وما شعرت بهم الناس والنكد! وفر "فلوسك" واكنزها بلا عدد، وللأنطة و"التبكيش" لا تعد.
إن الذي بقلوب الناس متصل، يسعى إليه ولا يصغى إلى أحد، أما الذي بوعودٍ طعمها عسلّ، قد غشنا فسيهوي فاقد السند، وسوف يسقط "يا عين عليه" غداً، وحاله -لو ترى- غلبان يا كبدي! يشكووز وجنته تبكي مولولةً: " ما كنش يومك يا سبعي ويا أسدى! في هذا الديوان قصائد يعالج من خلالها المؤلف قضايا مجتمعه المصري، مصوراً بعض زلاته وأخطائه بأسلوب بمزج بين العامية والفصى.
يعتبر الشعر الساخر من ألوان الأدبية العريقة، وترتبط جذوره العميقة بالأدب العربي منذ أقدم العصور.. بدءا ببعض الشعراء الصعاليك في العصر الجاهلي، ومروراً بأبي دلامة وأبي الشمقمق في العصر العباسي، وانتهاءً بحسين شفيق المصري وبيرم التونسي وعبد السلام شهاب في العصر الحديث.
يتضمن هذا الديوان 63 قصيدة ساخرة الجميلة ممثلاً في هذا الديوان الذي يتضمن والهجائيات والمعارضات الحلمنتيشية لأشهر القصائد في التاريخ القديم والمعاصر.
وقد حاول المؤلف الشاعر "ياسر قطامش" أن يعالج القضايا المصرية المعاصرة عبر قصائد هذا الديوان بأسلوب فكاهي شعري راقٍ يمزج بين الفصحى والعامية بتمكن واقتدار..
وما أحوجنا في هذا العصر إلى الفكاهة الراقية التي تحث على التوجيه والإصلاح.. وذلك ما سوف تلمسه في هذا الديوان.
