مشكلة الشباب من المشاكل الخطيرة التى تؤرقنا كشعب.. وتلقى ظلالها على حياة كل أسرة مصرية.. فلا يوجد بيت فى مصر الآن الا وفيه شاب بلا عمل.. بل أن هناك مشاكل أخرى أكثر خطورة لعل فى مقدمتها قضية المخدرات هذه المأساة التى تركت جراحا عميقة فى حياة كثير من الأسر المصرية.
هذا الجيل الساخط المتمرد الحزين يستحق أن نقف معه فى وجه هذا الطوفان الذى يقتلع فى طريقة كل شئ. وأنا مع هذا الجيل.
أنا مع هذا الجيل الذى يعانى فراغا سياسيا قاتلا.. وفراغا دينيا مخيفا.. وفوق هذا كله لا يجد الحلم فى عمل أو بيت أو مستقبل.
من أجل هذا حاولت أن اقترب من مشاكله فى مجموعة مقالات نشرتها تباعا فى جريدة الأهرام واقدمها للقارئ العزيز فى صفحات هذا الكتاب.
لا أدعى أنها رؤية باحث.. ولكنها رؤية انسان مهموم بوطنه لا أدعى أنها دراسة أكاديمية تستند للأرقام والحقائق.. ولكنها رؤية تحليلية لعل أبرز ما فيها الصدق ومحاولة البحث ونبل الغاية.
