إلى غاية كانط (Kant) كان لا يزال الخطاب الفلسفي مرتبط بالتمثيل من خلال اللغة والقدرة على التعبير والتواصل، تواصلا داخليا لمخاطبة الذات لنفسها، وانعكاسه خارجيا لمخاطبتها المنفتح والمختلف عنها.
يبقى التوهُّم (L’illusion) بسيادة الإنسان لمركزية المعرفة في العالم الغربي، وبأنّه موضوع المعرفة، هو سبب كثرة النظم الشمولية (Totalitaire) واليسارية (Gauchistes) التي تمارس سلطة تغييب إلى غاية القرن العشرين أي إلى حدود انتهاء النزعة الإنسانية وبداية ما بعد- الإنسانية لسنة 1968 التي جاءت لتراجع بعض القضايا الفكرية والواقعية التي تخص الإنسان وعلومه منها، الديمقراطية، الإصلاح الفكري والمؤسساتي..
طرحت أحداث ماي 1968 نقداً لقيم المجتمع الإستهلاكي من خلال العلوم الإنسانية ومحورها المركزي في المعرفة وفي تغيير طابع المؤسسة السياسية، حيث عصر التنوير والحداثة هو إسقاط لعقم المؤسسة وبلوغ النضج الفلسفي والعلمي والقيمي التي بلغته إصلاحات 1968، والتي فتحت تحديات الفلسفة على الممارسات النقدية للإيديولوجيا وللنظرية السياسية من خلال النضال الإجتماعي والفلسفي والفكري والذي تزامن بتحديد الفضاء، علماً أنّ أدولف كيتليت (Adolph Quétlet) حدّد معرفة الإنسان وعلومه بدراسته ككتلة (Une masse) أي داخل المجتمع الكلي بتحديد للحرية التي من المفروض أنّها تتسم بها علوم الإنسان، قبل الإنسان نفسه كمفهوم، ومن هذه العلوم علم النفس، التحليل النفسي.
جاء هذا الكتاب ليستعيد المراجعات الفلسفية والإبستمولوجية وحتى الأركيولوجية التي خاضها ميشال فوكو (Michel Foucault) لتحليل موت الإنسان من المؤسسة إجتماعياً من مستشفيات، مدارس، مصحات طبية وعقلية... بالإعتماد على العلوم الإنسانية وعلى الطب العقلي والتحليل النفسي.
