محمد كمال الدين إمام (1946 - 2020) فقيه وأكاديمي وإعلامي مصري، شغل منصب رئيس قسم الشريعة الإسلامية بكلية الحقوق جامعة الإسكندرية.
سيرته
ولد في إسنا في 2 أبريل 1946، حصل على ليسانس الحقوق في يناير 1969 من جامعة الإسكندرية، ثم حصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في الشريعة الإسلامية 1973 بتقدير جيد من جامعة الإسكندرية، ودبلوم الدراسات العليا في القانون العام 1976 بتقدير مقبول من جامعة عين شمس، ثم نال درجة الدكتوراة في الحقوق 1982 بتقدير جيد جدا مع مرتبة الشرف من جامعة الإسكندرية.

لم يكن التأليف في الحسبة إلا محاولة من الفقهاء المسلمين للتقرب بين المسلمين في واقعهم والإسلام في مبادئه، لقد كانت الفجوة كبيرة بين عقيدة تأمر بالمعروف وتنهي عن المنكر، وبين حياة يأمر فيها الناس بالمنكر وينهون عن المعروف، فاهتزت لذلك قلوب خاشعة، وعقول راشدة من فقهاء الإسلام، فتناولوا الحسبة في جانبيها النظري والعملي، وليست هذه الدراسة إلا محاولة أولية لنظرة معاصرة في نظام الحسبة الإسلامي، محاولة تهدف إلى إبراز الفقه، واستعراض التراث، وتأصيل الأفكار، ليعرف الجميع أم مجتمعاً بغير الحسبة يعوزه الإسلام الصحيح، وأن حياة بغير تناصح تنقصها قوة الإيمان، وأن أمة بغير دعوة للخير- وأمراً بمعروف ونهياً عن منكر- لايمكنها التطلع إلى مكانها الصيل باعتبارها خير أمة أخرجت للناس.
