في هذا الكتاب يتناول المؤلف التأمين من الناحية العملية نظراً لخبرته في مجال التأمين أكثر من ربع قرن. وقد بدأ الكتاب بمقدمة تاريخية عن محاولات الاقتصاد الوطني للتخلص من هيمنة رؤوس الأموال الأجنبية على الاقتصاد والتجارة والصناعة الوطنية، وكيف تم تأسيس شركة التأمين الأهلية ثم شركة مصر للتأمين.
ثم تعرض المؤلف للتأمين من الوجهة الشرعية ولا يفوتنا أن نذكر أنه قد اختلفت الآراء فيما يحوم حول التأمين من شبهات حسب نوعه وشروطه ونؤكد على ضرورة تخليص التأمين من أية شبهات قد تجعل البعض يلتفت عنه كما يجب طرح البديل الشرعي والذي يوافق تعاليم ديننا الإسلامي الحنيف.
وقد تناول الكتاب بالتفصيل التأمين على الطيران والسفن والسيارات وضد الحريق والسرقة وخيانة الأمانة وتأمينات البترول والتأمينات الهندسة والتأمين على الحياة وفقد الأرباح وتأمين الآلات وغيرها من مختلف أنواع التأمين.
وهكذا نأمل أن نكون قد قدمنا إضافة للمكتبة العربية تفيذ العاملين والمهتمين في مجال التأمين سواء كانوا أفراداً أو شركات أو هيئات.
