وكتابه فوائح الجمال مخطوطة صوفية نادرة تقدم سيرة صاحبها الذاتية، ورحلته فى مدارج السالكين إلى الحقيقة، بما فيها من رؤى وتصورات ومعاينات، تمثل درسًا عميقًا للمريد، وخبرة كاشفة لمعانى الإشراق الدقيقة. وقد سبقها المحقق الدكتور يوسف زيدان بدراسة حول نجم الدين كبرى تتناول عصره ومدرسته الصوفية، وأبرز شيوخه وتلاميذه ومؤلفاته.
يوسف زيدان كاتب وباحث متخصص فى التراث العربى والمخطوطات، ولد بسوهاج جنوبى مصر عام 1958. قاربت مؤلفاته وأبحاثه العلمية الخمسين كتابا والثمانين بحثًا فى الفكر الإسلامى، والتصوف، وتاريخ الطب والعلوم عند العرب، وفهرسة المكتبات.
