ينبغى ألا ينسى الكاتب إطلاقا أنه قارئ أيضا, وإن كان قارئا مجحفا, وإذا لم يستطيع أن يقرأ إنتاجه الخاص عشرات المرات فلا يتوقع أن ينظر فيه القارئ مرتين, كذلك فإن ما يسئمة بعد القراءة السادسة يحتمل تماما أن يسئم القارئ عند القراءة الأولى, وما يسره بعد القراءة الثانية عشرة قد يسر القارئ عند الثانية, لقد أعدت كتابة قليل منها خمسين مرة وهذه للأسف عملية لا يمكن أن تستمر إلى الأبد, لأن الكلمات أشياء محمودة.
وألطف الشعر يفقد سحره مع الزمن, حتى بالنسبة إلى الإنسان الذى كتبه, لكن هذا أقرب ما يمكن أن نصل إليه متعة الخالدين, فى عالمنا هذا غير الكامل, الخالدين الذى يستطيعون دائما أن يتمعنوا فى الجمال الكامل دون أن يملوه.
