يطمح هذا البحث إلى دراسة المناظرات باعتبارها فنّا أدبياً وانطلاقاً من مقاربة أسلوبية – تداوليّة تبحث في الصّبغة الأدبية للبناء فيها من جهة، وتدرس من جهة أخرى خصائص خطابها وما يحفّ به من معطيات مقاميّة لها كبير أثر وعظيم شأن في تأليف قصص أدبيّة سمّاها أبو حيّان التوحيدي "قصّة المناظرة".
فكان رصد مظاهر من أدبيّة قصص المناظرات وتفاعلها مع مقتضيات المقام من أوكد رهانات هذا البحث. فمن غير الممكن أن نغضّ الطرف أمام ظواهر أسلوبيّة "مهيمنة" على خطاب المناظرات بدرجة غير مألوفة في نصوص أخرى من أدبنا العربي القديم لا سيّما تلك التي تعدّ في الأصل خارجة عن طوق الأدب.
وقد تبيّنا أن هذه الأساليب ما كانت لتميّز المناظرة لو لم تتنزّل في مقامات معيّنة سعينا إلى توضيحها وإلى إبراز أثرها في الخطاب التناظري بتحليل هذا النوع من الخطاب القائم على الخلاف والتقابل في الآراء بل على الصراع والحرب باللسان والسّنان.
وهو ما أدّى إلى البحث في بعض آليّات الخطاب السّجالي وخصائصه. والاستعانة بجوانب من منهج تحليل الخطاب وما يقتضيه من تناول الملفوظ – وقد تنزّل في إطار تواصليّ تعامليّ – من جهة إنتاجه وآلياته، وإجرائه على النصّ الأدبي وذلك بتحليل مستويات عديدة من أهمّها المتلفّظ والمتلقّي، والمقام بعناصره المتنوّعة كالفضاء المكاني والزماني والقصد التواصلي وموضوع الخطاب فضلاً عن المعرفة المشتركة بين المتلفظ ومتلقّيه والمتصلة بمعطيات مرجعيّة ثقافيّة، مما سمح لنا بالحديث عن أسلوبية تداوليّة.
