في قصيدة بعنوان ]لغة الإشارة[ نقرأ: "لا صوت لدي لكني أعرف كيف أغني/ علّمني الصمت أن الكلام طفل موجوع/ والبكاء رقصة الموت الأخيرة/ أنثر القمح فوق يديّ لتلتقطه الحمائم الجائعة/ أستطيع أن أقول لها: أهلاً/ تستطيع أن تفهمني/ جميعنا نتحدث بهمس وتمتمة/ غذا سأزرع الياسمين فوق جسدي/ وحين يأتي الربيع سأتحول إلى حقلٍ/ تزورهم الريح والطيور والكلمات الحزينة".
