وبما أن لقصة الطفل هذه الأهمية في حياته، فقد حرصت هذه الدراسة على تناول النصوص القصصية السعودية المطبوعة في كتب، والموجهة للأطفال من سن الخامسة وحتى التاسعة بالدراسة والتحليل للوصول إلى الخصائص والمميزات التي يتصف بها الخطاب المكون لها من أجل أن تسدّ هذه الدراسة جانباً من الفراغ في الدراسات المختصة بأدب الطفل.
