يرتبط التقدم الإقتصادي للدول بمدى حرصها على تطبيق أسس ومبادئ تتحكم في نظامها السائد، الذي عادة ما يؤثر بطريقة أو بأخرى على بنيتها الداخلية الأساسية، وعلى صورتها الخارجية.
فما ينتج عن تجسيد مضمون تلك المبادئ من منافع أو مضار، لا يستقبله الفرد لوحده بمعزل عن بقيّة أفراد المجتمع، ومن هنا جاءتني فكرة تأليف هذا الكتاب الذي أحاول أن استعرض فيه مجموعة الصفات الملازمة لأهم الأفكار والنظم الإقتصادية التي عرفها الإنسان عبر العصور.
وممَّا لا شك فيه أنَّه كما يمكن للمجرب المخطئ أن يستفيد من خطئه ويفيد غيره يمكن أيضاً للفكر الناشئ والمبتدئ أن يعتبر من السالف، ممَّا يساعد على التركيز بشكل أفضل على حل المشاكل العصر.
لذلك ولغرض تعميم الفائدة كانت محاولتي في عرض المعلومات موجزة وبسيطة دون التضحية بعمق المفاهيم الإقتصادية، ليتسنى للقراء غير المختصين والمبتدئين فهمها وإستيعابها.
كما أرجو من القراء الأعزاء الأخذ بعين الإعتبار الآراء المختلفة المرتبطة بهذا الموضوع بالإعتماد على المراجع الأساسية والرجوع إليها لإدراجها عادةً كمفاتيح أساسية، فإن كنت قد وفقت فالفضل لله والحمد لله، وإن كانت الأخرى فليغفر لي الله والحمد لله، وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم.
