انقیاد زنان رساله ای است که جان استوارت میل در سال ۱۸۶۹ منتشر ساخته است. در آن زمان، زنانِ انگلستان هنوز از بسیاری حقوق محروم بودند، از جمله حق رأی. از همین رو، هنگامی که میل از حقوق زنان دفاع می کرد، کم نبودند کسانی که سخنان او را به تمسخر می گرفتند؛ اما او از صمیم قلب اعتقاد داشت که وضعیت فعلی زنان به هیچ وجه با جهان مدرن سازگار نیست و زنان باید از حقوق برابر با مردان بر انقیاد زنان رساله ای است که جان استوارت میل در سال ۱۸۶۹ منتشر ساخته است. در آن زمان، زنانِ انگلستان هنوز از بسیاری حقوق محروم بودند، از جمله حق رأی. از همین رو، هنگامی که میل از حقوق زنان دفاع می کرد، کم نبودند کسانی که سخنان او را به تمسخر می گرفتند؛ اما او از صمیم قلب اعتقاد داشت که وضعیت فعلی زنان به هیچ وجه با جهان مدرن سازگار نیست و زنان باید از حقوق برابر با مردان برخوردار شوند. میل در سراسر این رساله می کوشد ثابت کند که رفتار و سلوک و موقعیت فعلی زنان زاییدۀ طبیعت آنان نیست، بلکه زاییدۀ انتظاراتی است که جامعه از آنان دارد. رسالۀ میل به اعتقاد بسیاری از صاحب نظران، یکی از بهترین آثاری است که تاکنون در دفاع از حقوق زنان نوشته شده است.
