- جائزة الدولة التقديرية لعام 1992م.
- وسام العلوم والفنون من الطبقة الأولى عام 1992م.
- جائزة التميز من جامعة القاهرة لعام 2009م وغيرها.

هذه حفنة حكايات شعبية، إلتقتطها من المغرب العربي أثناء ترددي عليه طالبا مُبتَعثاً إلى إسبانيا، في الفترة ما بين 1957 و1964، جلها من طنجة وقليلها من مراكش، ينشدها "القوّالون" أو "الحكاؤون" في المقاهي الشعبية، تعيها ذاكرتي، في مجملها، فإذا عدتُ إلى فندقي دونتُ هيكلها في أوراقي ثم رجعت إليها بعد سنوات من عودتي إلى القاهرة، فكسوتُها لحما بعد أن كانت مجرد عظام. :من مقدمة المؤلف
