تبدو البرازيل كما لو أن مجموعة من المغ رحلتان بين مدن برازيلية والكثير من الحكايات والقصص والتجارب والأخبار والمفاجآت خلال 37 يومًا في بلد يشبه كل البشرية في جنونه واختلافه وتعقده وتلونه وتناقضه، يرتبط في الأذهان بصور جاهزة تتمثل في الكرنفال والقهوة و"السامبا" وكرة القدم، لكن البرازيل عالم أوسع من المتناقضات، المتغير هناك ثابت والثابت متغير، الشذوذ هو القاعدة والقاعدة شذوذ.
تبدو البرازيل كما لو أن مجموعة من المغامرين الودودين من جميع أنحاء العالم والأعراق والألوان قررت العيش في مكان مثير وبعيد، فلم يكن هناك خيار أفضل من ذلك المكان، وحتى لا تكون الحياة رتيبة فقد فتحوا الأبواب لالتقاط بعض اللصوص والفاسدين والمشاكسين في طريقهم، وعند الوصول وجدوا أعراقاً أخرى، تعارفوا، تزاوجوا وتكاثروا وتبادل بعضهم عادات بعض.
وهم يعيشون في هذا الخليط تحولوا إلى ما يشبه مشروب "كايبرينها" المحلي الذي يرّجه النادل، لينتهي إلى عصير واحد، هذا الشعب خليط لذيذ رغم كثرة مكوناته، وحتى مع تناسل اللصوص والفاسدين ما تزال الحياة مثيرة ومجنونة مثل فكرة المجيء إلى البرازيل.
في خط سرد يتعقّب مسار الفريق الجزائري في كأس العالم 2014 ورحلاته وبعض قصصه المسلية يهتم الكاتب بتفاصيل الأشياء في مدن عدّة، فتحضر روح البرازيل التي تستحيل إلى كائن حي نتحسسه، من خلال القصص الكثيرة، والتاريخ والجغرافيا والأدب والشعر والتراث والفكاهة والأسطورة الشعبية والخرافة وكل ما يمكن أن يجعله نصًا يتحدى الملل..
