هذا الكتاب مجرد مساهمة قانونية تبحث في مدى إمكانية انطباق أركان الجريمة ضد الإنسانية على ممارسات التعذيب المنتشرة في مصر. وهي بالتالي ليست عريضة اتهام، فمحاكمة المسؤولين عن ممارسات التعذيب في مصر هي مهمة جهات التحقيق والقضاء المستقل وحدهما.
هذا ويؤمن كاتب هذه الدراسة، بان الشعب المصري، وكل البشر، يستحقون أن يعيشوا في مناخ خالٍ من التعذيب. فهذا الشعب، مثله مثل أيٍّ من شعوب هذا الكتاب مجرد مساهمة قانونية تبحث في مدى إمكانية انطباق أركان الجريمة ضد الإنسانية على ممارسات التعذيب المنتشرة في مصر. وهي بالتالي ليست عريضة اتهام، فمحاكمة المسؤولين عن ممارسات التعذيب في مصر هي مهمة جهات التحقيق والقضاء المستقل وحدهما.
