قسم المصنف كتابه إلى بابين (الأول) منهما قواعد وأسس تشرع من أولى المدركات اليقينية ليرتقي منها إلى سلسلة القواعد المترفعة عليها والمدينة لها، ناسجاً بإبرة الحكمة خيوط الفكر ليتشكل منطق العقل كصوان بارق من غير احتكاك سائراً مع العقل كما هو، مستنطقاً إياه مستجدياً نعماه مكفياً بهداه. و(الثاني) منهما، محاكمات وتقويمات للنهج الملتوية على العقل السالبة له حقه والجاهلة بقدره، بدءاً من شكاكي ما قبل الميلاد مروراً بمتكلمي العصور الوسطى في الشرق والغرب وصولاً إلى متفلسفة عصري النهضة والحداثة، فقومت به النهج وعُدّلت الفِكَر
