في كتاب سابق للمؤلف، وهو (هذا الجنب من مكان صاخب) ٢٠١٠ تناول مجموعة روايات عربية صادرة خلال العقود الأخيرة في الوطن العربي الذي سماه المكان الصاخب. و إذا ما حافظت جل النماذج الروائية التي درسها حينها على ما يسمى الجوهر المتكرر الذي يعني أن (للإنسان أو الشاعر أو الكاتب، فكرت أساسية يحاول، كلما يكتب، أن يعيدها أو ينميها او يضيف إليها جوانب أهرى) فإن ذلك يعني افتراضا أن كل رو في كتاب سابق للمؤلف، وهو (هذا الجنب من مكان صاخب) ٢٠١٠ تناول مجموعة روايات عربية صادرة خلال العقود الأخيرة في الوطن العربي الذي سماه المكان الصاخب. و إذا ما حافظت جل النماذج الروائية التي درسها حينها على ما يسمى الجوهر المتكرر الذي يعني أن (للإنسان أو الشاعر أو الكاتب، فكرت أساسية يحاول، كلما يكتب، أن يعيدها أو ينميها او يضيف إليها جوانب أهرى) فإن ذلك يعني افتراضا أن كل رواية من تلك الروايات، حتى وهي تكرر جوهرا، تعنى أيضا بما يخرج عن الجوهر. هذا الاخير الذي تعنى به الرواية، هو ما يسميه المتغيرات وقد يستتبع تحولات في السرد، وهذا تحديدا ما يركز عليه المؤلف في كتابه الحالي. وإذا ما كان المكان الذي سماه الصاخب، ويعني به الوطن العربي، قد قدم جوهرا متكررا، فإن الزمان الذي يسميه هنا العاصف، وهو زمان الوطن العربي، بمتغيراته الكثيرة والصاخبة، هو وراء المتغيرات في الروايات التي يتناولها، وغيرها بالطبع.
