تكون الأشياء أجمل ما تكون في بداياتها، لكن العبرة في النهاية بالخواتيم. و بقدر سعادتي بخروج هذا العدد للنور؛ العدد الأول من مجلة مداد، إلا أنني أتطلع للعدد الثاني، و أراه أهم من العدد الأول بكثير. عندما بدأت دار الوراق للنشر الإليكتروني كان لدينا تخوّف ألا تكلل تجربة الدار بالنجاح المطلوب، خاصة في مجتمع يشتري الكتاب لأن كاتبه معروف، بأكثر مما يشتري الكتاب لأنه معجب بمحتواه تكون الأشياء أجمل ما تكون في بداياتها، لكن العبرة في النهاية بالخواتيم. و بقدر سعادتي بخروج هذا العدد للنور؛ العدد الأول من مجلة مداد، إلا أنني أتطلع للعدد الثاني، و أراه أهم من العدد الأول بكثير. عندما بدأت دار الوراق للنشر الإليكتروني كان لدينا تخوّف ألا تكلل تجربة الدار بالنجاح المطلوب، خاصة في مجتمع يشتري الكتاب لأن كاتبه معروف، بأكثر مما يشتري الكتاب لأنه معجب بمحتواه، في مجتمع ليس لديه القدر الكافي من الجرأة الثقافية كي يجرب كتابًا و كاتبًا ليس لهما من الشهرة نصيب كبير، و لهذا كنا ننظر للإصدار القادم دومًا على أنه علامة على سلامة الطريق، و أن الأمر يتطلب مزيدًا من الصبر و المثابرة فحسب.
عام و بضعة أشهر مروا على انطلاق دار الوراق للنشر الإليكتروني، و نعلم تمام العلم أننا لا نزال في بداية البداية، لكننا نعتمد عليك عزيزي القارئ كي نواصل، فأنت وحدك الذي يملك ذلك الوقود الذي يدير محركاتنا؛ القراءة.
