ولد عبد العزيز الطريفي في الكويت وتنقل في صغره بين الكويت والموصل (العراق) ومصر، قبل أن يستقر في العاصمة السعو -عبد العزيز بن مرزوق الطَريفي (ولد 7 ذو الحجة 1396 هـ 29 نوفمبر 1976 ) عالم دين سعودي متخصص في الحديث النبوي، بكلوريوس من كلية الشريعة من جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية بمدينة الرياض، وباحث شرعي سابق في وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والأوقاف والدعوة والإرشاد بالسعودية وناشط في الدعوة والحقوق
ولد عبد العزيز الطريفي في الكويت وتنقل في صغره بين الكويت والموصل (العراق) ومصر، قبل أن يستقر في العاصمة السعودية الرياض.
عُرِف بطلب العلم مبكراً بالإضافة إلى البحث وسعة الاطلاع في شتى الفنون والعناية الفائقة بكتب السنة النبوية حفظاً ودراية وإدمان النظر فيها. بدأ بحفظ المتون العلمية في سن مبكرة تقريباً في سن الثالثة عشرة من عمره.
كان يعمل الشيخ باحثاً علمياً بوزارة الشئون الإسلامية والأوقاف والدعوة والإرشاد في المملكة العربية السعودية. كما أن للشيخ موقع خاص باسمه عبر الشبكة
تميز بمواقفه المثيرة للجدل التي تخص المرأة والليبرالية وقضايا أخرى
