ابن الفارض ، هذا الصوفي الباحث عن حقيقة الوجود في عجائب الوجود.. ولد بمصر سنة 576هـ الموافق 1181م، وسمي بابن الفار ابن الفارض.. شاعر الوجد الصوفي.. السابح في غيمات من نور في الآفاق البعيدة.. إنه أيضا سلطان العاشقين الذي اعتزل العالم.. وهجر الحياة المادية وسافر في نهر العشق الإلهي ينشد أشعاره فوق ضفاف النيل.. ينقش أناشيد الروح على ورق الشجر الأخضر.. والنبت العاري في الطبيعة.
ابن الفارض ، هذا الصوفي الباحث عن حقيقة الوجود في عجائب الوجود.. ولد بمصر سنة 576هـ الموافق 1181م، وسمي بابن الفارض واشتهر به لأن والده كان يثبت فروض النساء على الرجال بين يدي الحكام فلقب بالفارض، ويستدل من الاسم والمهنة أن الوالد كان رجل فضل وعلم يتصدر مجالس الحكم والعلم ، ويقال إن منصب قاضي القضاة عرض على الأب فرفض واعتزل وانقطع للعبادة في قاعة بالمسجد الأزهر حتى توفاه الله.
