يحاول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلقاء الضوء على ما يحيط بالروح من أسرار، وذلك بعد توصله إلى الحقيقة في أن معرفة الروح وكيفية معيشتها وبيان صفاتها، يمكن جلاؤها من خلال أحاديث الروّاد الأوائل للأديان والمذاهب السماوية واقوال الأولياء وآراء من زكّى نفسه، وطهر روحه من لوث الشيطان، وأعرض عن هزاته ولذاته، وبمعنى آخر لقد جاء كتاب المؤلف هذا نتيجة الاستشفافة من أسرار الروح من خلال مرآة يحاول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلقاء الضوء على ما يحيط بالروح من أسرار، وذلك بعد توصله إلى الحقيقة في أن معرفة الروح وكيفية معيشتها وبيان صفاتها، يمكن جلاؤها من خلال أحاديث الروّاد الأوائل للأديان والمذاهب السماوية واقوال الأولياء وآراء من زكّى نفسه، وطهر روحه من لوث الشيطان، وأعرض عن هزاته ولذاته، وبمعنى آخر لقد جاء كتاب المؤلف هذا نتيجة الاستشفافة من أسرار الروح من خلال مرآة آثار وتجارب أولئك الذين أصفوا أذهانهم تماماً من الفلسفة التي تحمّلها علماء الروح.
وقد بلغ المؤلف في غايته هذه الغرض الأقصى، إذ أنه رأى أن جمال الروح وحسنها الفائق، من خلال مرآة شفافة، وصفها للقارئ في طيات هذا الكتاب ضمن ثلاثة فصول، هي منازل الروح الثلاثة التي عاشت ولا زالت تعيش فيها. وهذه الفصول هي: 1-الروح قبل هذا العالم، 2-الروح في هذا العالم، 3-الروح بعد هذا العالم.
وقد تغاضى عمّا قيل ودوّن حول كل من هذه المراحل الثلاث، بل هو ركّز من خلالها على المرآة الشفافة التي توصل إليها خلال مدة طويلة، ورأى صورة الروح الرائعة وماهيتها الناصعة، لتنعكس على شاشة فكر القارئ القويم، وصفحة عقله السليم.
