يعرض هذا الكتاب لشخصية فريدة في تاريخ مصر. إنها واحدة من الملكات القلائل اللاتي قدر لهن أن يعتلين عرش مصر واللاتي لعبن أدوارا هامة في تاريخ بلادهن. ولعل قصة الملكة حتشبسوت, أو ربيبة آمون والمقدمة بين النبيلات كما يعني اسمها, هي أكثر قصص التاريخ المصري إثارة وتشويقا - وكذلك للأسف, أشدها غموضا وإبهاما.
وهي سيرة تمتزج فيها الأسطورة بالحقيقة, فنراها على الآثار مصورة كابنة من صل يعرض هذا الكتاب لشخصية فريدة في تاريخ مصر. إنها واحدة من الملكات القلائل اللاتي قدر لهن أن يعتلين عرش مصر واللاتي لعبن أدوارا هامة في تاريخ بلادهن. ولعل قصة الملكة حتشبسوت, أو ربيبة آمون والمقدمة بين النبيلات كما يعني اسمها, هي أكثر قصص التاريخ المصري إثارة وتشويقا - وكذلك للأسف, أشدها غموضا وإبهاما.
وهي سيرة تمتزج فيها الأسطورة بالحقيقة, فنراها على الآثار مصورة كابنة من صلب الإله آمون, ونراها أيضا مصورة في هيئة الرجال. وقد تعرضت آثار هذه الملكة للتهشيم, وحُذف اسمها من قوائم الملوك بعد وفاتها, ونُسيت ذكراها لأكثر من ثلاثة آلاف عام, حتى أعيد اكتشافها في القرن التاسع عشر فأثارت هزة في كل الأوساط العلمية.
وقد كرست المؤلفة سنوات طويلة من حياتها في محاولة دراسة آثار تلك الملكة والتعرف على سيرتها, وأفلحت في أن تزيل اللبس والغموض وأن تعيد لنا تلك الملكة إلى الحياة, لنطالع معها قصة من أبدع قصص التاريخ المصري القديم
