إن توقفنا للحظة عند واقع الحال في المجال العلمي ، نجد بوضوح أن التقدم الذي أحرزه الفكر في سياق العلوم مبني على وقفةٍ رفضيةٍ ، على مساءلةٍ نقدية ، على شكٍ جرئ بالمقدمات السابقة . لو أن العلماء لم يمارسو النقد لنظريات وضعها علماء كبار قبلهم لما تمكنوا من التقدم والوصول إلى ما حققوه حتى اليوم. فالمحرم دائرته تقلصت ، والممنوع من النقد قد تحجّم . ليس من نظريةٍ مقدسة ، ولا من عا إن توقفنا للحظة عند واقع الحال في المجال العلمي ، نجد بوضوح أن التقدم الذي أحرزه الفكر في سياق العلوم مبني على وقفةٍ رفضيةٍ ، على مساءلةٍ نقدية ، على شكٍ جرئ بالمقدمات السابقة . لو أن العلماء لم يمارسو النقد لنظريات وضعها علماء كبار قبلهم لما تمكنوا من التقدم والوصول إلى ما حققوه حتى اليوم. فالمحرم دائرته تقلصت ، والممنوع من النقد قد تحجّم . ليس من نظريةٍ مقدسة ، ولا من عالِم فوق الإخضاع للنقد ... كذلك نجد في مجال علوم الإنسان ، أنه لولا ممارسة النقد لما تنوعت المقاربات للظاهرة الواحدة ، ولما تطورت معرفة الإنسان بنفسه ، وبما يعتريها من مشاكل وأمراض ، ولما تنوعت النظريات الاجتماعية والتاريخية والأدبية . فالنقد ممارسة إنسانية راقية ، لاتهدف إلى الهدم من أجل الهدم ، ولا تكترث بإلغاء النقيض ومحو أثره . إنه الطريق المؤدي إلى الإبداع ، واختراق دائرة الرتابة ، والخروج من النمطية والاجترار .
