أحمد بن عمرو بن عبد الخالق أبو بكر البزار: حافظ من العلماء بالحديث.
من أهل البصرة.
حدث في آخر عمره بأصبهان وبغداد والشام، وتوفي في الرملة.
له مسندان أحدهما كبير سماه (البحر الزاخر) والثاني صغير.
ورأيت (السفر الأول من مسند البزار، بعلله) مخطوطا في خزانة الرباط (243 أوقاف) وهو ضخم، كتب سنة 863 ومنه جزآن مخطوطان، هما الثاني والثالث، في الأزهرية [مطبوع الآن في 18 مجلدا]
