کتاب حاضر، ترجمه رساله مختصری منسوب به «کمالالدین عبدالرزاق کاشانی» است که در آن به شرح سخنان کوتاهی از مولای متقیان، حضرت علی(ع) در پاسخ به «کمیل بن زیاد» پیرامون موضوع حقیقت پرداخته شده است. در تدوین و نگارش این کتاب از چهار نسخه استفاده شده است که عبارتاند از: نسخه مکتوب این رساله به خط نسخ بدون تاریخ و ذکر کاتب که در کتابخانة مجلس شورای اسلامی نگهداری میشود؛ نسخه نو کتاب حاضر، ترجمه رساله مختصری منسوب به «کمالالدین عبدالرزاق کاشانی» است که در آن به شرح سخنان کوتاهی از مولای متقیان، حضرت علی(ع) در پاسخ به «کمیل بن زیاد» پیرامون موضوع حقیقت پرداخته شده است. در تدوین و نگارش این کتاب از چهار نسخه استفاده شده است که عبارتاند از: نسخه مکتوب این رساله به خط نسخ بدون تاریخ و ذکر کاتب که در کتابخانة مجلس شورای اسلامی نگهداری میشود؛ نسخه نوشته شده به خط نسخ که در کتابخانه مدرسه عالی شهید مطهری نگهداری میشود و دو نسخه مکتوب به خط نستعلیق و نسخ که در کتابخانه ملی نگهداری میشود.
کمیل گفت: حقیقت چیست؟
علی ع فرمود: ترا به حقیقت چه کار؟
کمیل گفت: آیا من صاحب سِر تو نیستم؟
علی ع فرمود: بلی ولی آنچه از من لبریز میشود به تو می تراود.
کمیل عرض کرد: آیا مثل تو سائل را نا امید میکند؟!
پس آن حضرت ع فرمود: حقیقت پرده برداری از انوار "سبحات" جلال است بدون اشاره (به ذات).
پس کمیل گفت: برای روشن شدن بر من بیفزار!
علی ع فرمود: محو موهوم به همراه صحو معلوم
کمیل عرض کرد: زیاده بیفزائید.
امیرالمومنین فرمود: پاره شدن پرده ها و پوشیدگی به دلیل غلبه سر.
کمیل گفت: روشنایی ام بیفزا.
امام فرمود: جذب احدیت به خاطر صفت توحید.
کمیل گفت: بیفزا!
حضرت فرمود: نوری که از پگاه ازل طلوع میکند، پس آثارش بر هیاکل توحید نور می افشاند.
کمیل گفت: بیفزا!
حضرت فرمود: چراغ را خاموش کن که صبح دمید!
