الصحة داخل أماكن الاحتجاز في مصر لم يعره الباحثون الاهتمام الكافي على الرغم من أن أماكن الاحتجاز أكثر عرضة لحدوث الانتهاكات بشكل عام، والانتهاكات الصحية على الأخص والتي قد تحدث مثلا حين يتعذر الحصول علي الرعاية الصحية اللازمة في حالات الطوارئ. وقد لوحظ اخيرا تكرار مثل تلك الحوادث في الجن وراكز الشرطة المصرية حيث تتدهور حالة الس الصحة داخل أماكن الاحتجاز في مصر لم يعره الباحثون الاهتمام الكافي على الرغم من أن أماكن الاحتجاز أكثر عرضة لحدوث الانتهاكات بشكل عام، والانتهاكات الصحية على الأخص والتي قد تحدث مثلا حين يتعذر الحصول علي الرعاية الصحية اللازمة في حالات الطوارئ. وقد لوحظ اخيرا تكرار مثل تلك الحوادث في الجن وراكز الشرطة المصرية حيث تتدهور حالة السجناء الصحية دون استجابة سريعة او كافية من الإدارات المسئولة عنها.
السجون لها أعرافها الداخلية الخاصة وقد سهّل ذلك حدوث الانتهاكات وأشكال التقصير المختلفة . وتزداد الانتهاكات عندما لا يوجد رقابة عي الأوضاع داخل السجون من جهات مستقلة كما هو الحال في مصر. إلي جانب غياب المساءلة للعاملين بهذه الأماكن . هذا بالإضافة إلي ما يمكن أن نطلق عليه " ثقافة الانتهاك "والتي تعتبر الحرمان من الحقوق الأساسية - ومن بينها الحق فى الصحة-أحد أشكال العقاب الذي يستحقه المحتجز.
خلص هذا البحث إلي أن الأوضاع المعيشية والصحية داخل السجن لا تتماشي مع الحد الأدني من مكونات الحق في الصحة ومحدداتها.
هناك حاجة ملحة لإيجاد آلية واضحة لحصول السجناء علي الرعاية الصحية كحق من حقوقهم ، ولاستقلال الرأي الطبي داخل السجون مع ضمان جودته في ذات الوقت، وذلك لإدراج أماكن الاحتجاز بشكل فعّال في المنظومة الصحية المصرية.
