شموع
" الأيام الآتية ترتسم أمامنا
مثلما يرتسم صف متوهج من الشموع
من الضموع البراقة الصغيرة، المضيئة والحية.
الأيام التي راحت تبقى في الخلف
صفا كئيبا من شموع صغيرة مطفأة
ينبعث الدخان ما يزال من أقربها
شموع باردة، خامدة ومحنية تماما.
لا أريد تأملها، منظرها يحزنني
ويشجيني أن أفكر في بريقها الأول
فأنظر إلى الشموع الصغيرة التي تضيء أمامي.
لا أريد أن ألتفت إلى الوراء
فاكتشف مذعورا
السرعة التي يستطيل بها الصف المعتم
السرعة التي تتراكم بها الشموع المطفأة. "
