للرحالة الانجليزي إلدون رتر يصف رحلته التي استمرت مدة عام بدأها في 25 مايو عام 1925م من القاهرة الى اليمن ثم الى مكة المكرمة مرورا ببرك وحلي والقنفذة والليث ثم غادر مكة المكرمة بعد الحج متوجها نحو الطائف ثم الى المدينة المنورة
