كتاب "الشيف رمزي - الجزء الأول" موسوعة شاملة في المطبخ العربي والعالمي، طابعها تعليمي لكثرة الإرشادات التي عودنا عليها الشيف رمزي في برنامجه التلفزيوني.
أصدر الشيف رمزي سنة 1988، الجزء الأول من موسوعته وكان الكتاب الأكثر مبيعاً، إذ اكتسحت إصداراته مبيعات العالم العربي ولقب لذلك بكتاب المطبخ العالمي الأول.
فكان لا بد، بعد مرور خمس سنوات، وإصدار الجزء الثاني من موسوعته، أن يقوم الشيف رمزي بتنقيح نسخة الجزء الأول لجهة توسيع الفهرس المصور لمعدات المطبخ ومكوناته الأولى من خضر وفاكهة ولحوم وطيور وأسماك إلى جانب فهرس مصور لطرق التسحيب والتقطيع وطي الفوط.
إضافة إلى ذلك، قام الشيف رمزي بإدخال مئات الوصفات الجديدة من وصفات مالحة أساسية وصولاً إلى وصفات الحلويات العالمية مع ضمّ طرق تحضير مراحلية مصورة للوصفات الأكثر رواجاً.
هكذا يتربّع كتاب الشيف رمزي، الجزء الأول من موسوعته، بحلته الجديدة المنقحة، لا في المرتبة الأولى للمبيعات في العالم العربي وحسب، ولكن أيضاً كأفضل كتاب طبخ عالمي ذي طابع تدريبي تثقيفي يستطيع من خلاله أي شخص التقدم نحو الاحتراف.
