بعد أن مضى عشرون عاماً على نشره تفسير سورة يس في كتابه الموسوم بـ "النور المبين في تفسير سورة يس" يعيد الشيخ مجيد الصائغ اليوم النظر في ما كتبه – كما يقول – من مقاصد ومعاني آيات هذه السورة المباركة وإضافة ما يُستجد من إضافات وتنقيحات تتلاءم وأهمية السورة وما تحتويه من خصائص وأسرار عظيمة تعود بالنفع الكثير على عشاق هذه السورة المباركة ..." .
وفي هذا الإطار تناول المؤلف مواضيع اساسية ثلاثة هي: الإيمان بالبعث والنشور، وقصة القرية "واضرب لهم مثلاً أصحاب القرية إذ جاءها المرسلون"، والأدلة والبراهين على وحدانية رب العالمين.
إن هذه السورة المباركة التي عبّر عنها الرسول الكريم بـ (قلب القرآن) اعتنى بدراستها وتفسيرها المؤلف الشيخ، لما حفلت به من الدلائل على توحيد الله تعالى، وعليم قدرته، وبديع صنعه، وهي كما يجمع العلماء من الآيات الباهرات في إعجازها، وجمال تركيبها، وروعة أسلوبها. من هنا جاءت هذه الطبعة لكل قارىء يروم فهم معاني الآيات البيّنات التي احتوتها سورة يس وما فيها من معنى ومغزى، خاصة أن المؤلف شرح معاني الآيات المباركة بأسلوب عصري يناسب جميع المستويات؛ مغ ذكر فضلها، والحكمة من نزولها، وقد ختم الكتاب بـ "أوراد سورة يس"، وخواص آيات سورة يس" وهي مما يحتاجه المسلم للمغفرة ولقضاء الحوائج وغيرها في حياته الدنيوية والأخروية.
