يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تقديم الإجابة عن السؤال الآتي، لماذا يسيطر الغرب على العالم منذ ما يقارب الخمسة قرون؟.
قدّم عدد من المفكرين إجابات عن هذا السؤال الشائك، في الوطن العربي وخارجه، بخاصة في الحقل السياسي والإقتصادي والثقافي، بيد أن أحداً لم يحاول الإجابة عن التساؤل المطروح من زاوية معرفيّة، أي من باب تبيان أسباب غلبة الغرب في طرائق التفكير والتخطيط والتنفيذ.
لذلك ستسعى المقا يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تقديم الإجابة عن السؤال الآتي، لماذا يسيطر الغرب على العالم منذ ما يقارب الخمسة قرون؟.

لذلك ستسعى المقاربة الآتية إلى معالجة الموضوع، برمّته، من هذه الزاوية البالغة الأهمية، بالتوقف عند التمفضلات الذهنية لسيطرة الغرب على العالم المعاصر، حيث يتّضح أنّ خمسة محرّكات ذهنيّة هي التي تشكّل الأساس الموضوعي لهذه الظاهرة...، لكن لا إنحياز، غرباً أو شرقاً، جنوباً أو شمالاً، في هذه المقاربة التي تهدف إلى طرح مسألة حسّاسة، لكن موضوعيّة، تستدعي الإهتمام والفهم والرصد، لكن مصيرنا جيمعاً، في الأزمنة الحاضرة، مرتبطاً بمعادلاتها، شئنا أم أبينا.
