إن أهل بيت النبوة يحتلون مكانة سامية في قلوب المسلمين جميعاً على اختلاف أممهم وأجناسهم ومذاهبهم ولغاتهم، وقد احتلوا هذه المكانة، لا لقرابتهم من رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - فحسب، بل لأنهم حافظوا على التمسك بآداب النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - وأخلاقه واقتدوا به في منهجه وسلوكه ونفذوا سنته تنفيذاً عملياً، فرأى فيهم المسلمون الصورة المثالية للأخلاق الفاضلة والسلوك الحميد.
وقد عر المسلمون الأوائل - ومازال الصادقون من المسلمين يعرفون - لأهل البيت منزلتهم ومكانتهم فيحبونهم لذلك، ولكن الحب الذي يجب أن يكون لأهل البيت هو الحب الذي تدعو إليه الشريعة، وينأى عن المبالغة التي يأباها الشرع، فحب أهل البيت لا يدعو إلى كره غيرهم من أهل الفضل، أو الحط من شأن أي من صحابة رسول الله الذين جاهدوا معه في الله حق جهادة، إن أهل البيت جديرون بقول القائل فيهم: أولئك قوم بنور الصحبة يشرقون، وبلسان النبوة ينطقون.
وفي هذا الوقت الذي اختلط فيه الباطل بالحق، والشر بالخير، وذاع بين الناس منطق إنكار الفضل على أصحابه، وشاع ذهاب العقل عن صوابه، وغالى البعض في التشيع مغالاة بعدت بهم عن الدين، وبالغ البعض في الرفض مالغة عزفت بهم عن محجة اليقين، وجدنا لزاماً علينا أن نقدم لجماهير امتنا الإسلامية هذه السلسلة إلحاقاً بسلسلة القصص القرآني - نتحدث لهم فيها عن أهل البيت وحقهم الشرعي، ونعرف فيها بهؤلاء الأئمة الأعلام.
