نیما در سال ۱۳۰۰ منظومه قصه رنگ پریده را که یک سال پیش سروده بود در هفتهنامه قرن بیستم میرزاده عشقی به چاپ رساند
این منظومه مخالفت بسیاری از شاعران سنتی و پیرو سبک قدیم مانند ملک الشعرای بهار و مهدی حمیدی شیرازی را برانگیخت. شاعران سنتی به مسخره و آزار وی دست زدند
منظومه قصه رنگ پریده در حقیقت نخستین اثر منظوم نیمایی است که در قالب مثنوی (بحر هزج مسدس) سروده شدهاست. شاعر د نیما در سال ۱۳۰۰ منظومه قصه رنگ پریده را که یک سال پیش سروده بود در هفتهنامه قرن بیستم میرزاده عشقی به چاپ رساند

منظومه قصه رنگ پریده در حقیقت نخستین اثر منظوم نیمایی است که در قالب مثنوی (بحر هزج مسدس) سروده شدهاست. شاعر در این اثر زندگی خود را روایت کردهاست و از خلال آن به مفاسد اجتماعی پرداختهاست
چاپ شده بود. سپس افسانه را سرود که در آن روحی رمانتیک حاکم است و به عشق نیز نیما نگاهی دیگرگونه دارد و عشق عارفانه را رد میکند این کتاب مجموعه کامل اشعار نیما یوشیج است، که در طول سالیان متمادی گردآوری، نسخه برداری و تدوین شده
شعرهای فارسی به پیشنهاد روانشاد عالیه خانم جهانگیر(یوشیج) و زنده یاد جلال آل احمد و موافقت استاد بزرگ محمد معین، وصی نیما، و لطف آقای شراگیم یوشیج، به تدریج از سال 1340 به بعد توسط آقای سیروس طاهباز تفکیک ، نسخه برداری و تدوین شده است
