الزمان:الليل.. ربيع.. عام 825م
[يظهر فيمى احد أشراف صقلية وصديقه فكتور] (فيمى سكران)
فيمى:أنا تعبان يا فكتور.. تعبان. هذا العالم يضيق فى عينى وصدرى يكاد يشتعل وقلبى ممزق إشلاء على وجه الأرض.
فكتور:فيمى.. فيمى يا صديقى كل المحبين يعذبون.. ويبكون ويسهرون ثم سرعان ما ينسون.
فيمى:انسى.. انسى ايزابيل.. عروس صقلية. اجمل بنات صقلية. انساها. كيف انساها. وهواها يعصف بقلبى ويهز روحى ويصرح فى دمى إنى احب ايزابيل يا فكتور.. فكتور يا صديقى انت قاس القلب
فكتور:أنا اتمزق من اجلك يا فيمى
فيمى:تتمزق من أجلى
فكتور:نعم
فيمى:إذاً ساعدنى
فكتور:أساعدك فى ماذا؟
فيمى:فى أن أخطف ايزابيل وارحل.
فكتور:تخطف ايزابيل وترحل.
فيمى:نعم.
فكتور:إلى إين؟
فيمى:إلى أرض الله الواسعة.. إلى جزيرة أهل سيراكوز.
فكتور:إلى جزيرة سيراكوز عند أهلك وأقاربك.. انسيت أنها تابعة للأمبراطورية وأن حاكم سيراكوز لا يحبك لأنك رفضت أن تشاركه التجارة.
فيمى:أنى لا أخافه. هذا حاكم ضعيف سكير. وهو نصاب لا يحب التجارة بل ينصب على الناس..
