يعدّ هذا الكتاب الجزء الثالث من سلسلة جمهرة الرحلات للمؤلف ، وقد خصّ هذا الجزء برحلات الأوروبيين المسيحيين ممن دخلوا مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة وعادوا ليكتبوا عن تلك الرحلة ، وقد تعدّدت أغراضهم وأحوالهم ؛ حيث أسلم بعضهم وانتحل الآخرون الإسلام لتحقيق بُغيتهم ، وقد أحصى المؤلف تلك الرحلات بين عامي 1503م - 1948م فبلغت 54 رحلة ، تناول المؤلف عرض وتحليل 22 منها خلال الكتاب ، يعدّ هذا الكتاب الجزء الثالث من سلسلة جمهرة الرحلات للمؤلف ، وقد خصّ هذا الجزء برحلات الأوروبيين المسيحيين ممن دخلوا مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة وعادوا ليكتبوا عن تلك الرحلة ، وقد تعدّدت أغراضهم وأحوالهم ؛ حيث أسلم بعضهم وانتحل الآخرون الإسلام لتحقيق بُغيتهم ، وقد أحصى المؤلف تلك الرحلات بين عامي 1503م - 1948م فبلغت 54 رحلة ، تناول المؤلف عرض وتحليل 22 منها خلال الكتاب ، مع إثبات غلاف كتاب الرحلة واقتباس نصوص لأهم ما جاء فيها ، وقد احتوى الكتاب على الكثير من الخرائط والصور المبكّرة لمكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة مما احتوته كتب تلك الرحلات .. وفي الجملة يعدّ هذا الكتاب متمماً لسلسلة رحلات الحج إلى مكة والمدينة ، ولا غنى عنه للمهتمين بتأريخ الحج إلى مكة والحيوات بها في الزمن الماضي .0
