ترجع أهمية"كراسة الخط العربى" هذه إلى أن مؤلفها "رحمة الله عليه" كان من الرواد الأوائل فى عصرنا الحديث، الذين وضعوا للأجيال الصاعدة قواعد الخط العربى، وضبطوا موازينه.
وإذا كان القرآن الكريم قد عرف للخبير مكانته ومنزلته فقال سبحانة " وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍ" (سورة فاطر:14).
فإن مؤلف هذه الكراسة وواضع مادتها أستاذنا "أحمد الحسينى" كان موجها عاماً بوزارة التربية والت ترجع أهمية"كراسة الخط العربى" هذه إلى أن مؤلفها "رحمة الله عليه" كان من الرواد الأوائل فى عصرنا الحديث، الذين وضعوا للأجيال الصاعدة قواعد الخط العربى، وضبطوا موازينه.

فإن مؤلف هذه الكراسة وواضع مادتها أستاذنا "أحمد الحسينى" كان موجها عاماً بوزارة التربية والتعليم للخط العربى، عاش حياته فى حقل التربية والتعليم، يكتب ويوجه، ويشرف ويرشد، وجاءت هذه الكراسة ثمرة تجارب وحصاد خبرة ونتاج معايشة، ومن هنا كانت لها مميزات، حتى قيل فيها، إنها تغنى عن غيرها، ولا يغنى غيرها عنها.
