بالرغم من أن مؤلفة الكتاب د. درية شرف الدين تمثل الاتجاه المحافظ لا المنفتح و برغم انتمائها إلى المؤسسة الرسمية دائما بل و ترأسها هيئة الرقابة على المصنفات الفنية لفترة ليست بال كتاب مهم جدا و ملهم جدا و بالرغم من دراسته لفترة انتهت منذ نصف قرن تقريبا إلا أن ما نعيشه حاليا يكاد يكون نسخة باهتة مما حدث سابقا و سيظل يحدث لاحقا ما لم يستيقظ وعي هذا الشعب المطحون على كل العصور.
بالرغم من أن مؤلفة الكتاب د. درية شرف الدين تمثل الاتجاه المحافظ لا المنفتح و برغم انتمائها إلى المؤسسة الرسمية دائما بل و ترأسها هيئة الرقابة على المصنفات الفنية لفترة ليست بالقليلة إلا أن الإنصاف لم يجانبها طيلة هذا الكتاب الذي جاء سياسيا أكثر منه سينمائيا.
