يحاول الكاتب ضبط مفهوم حرية الإرادة و مدلولاتها, و أثرها علي حرية الفكر و المجتمع, و بالتالي علي مفهوم الحرية السياسيةز و دورها في دفع الفعل الإنساني دفعا نحو التحرر
