ويمثّل الأردن «بيئة» منتِجة ومصدِّرة لقيادات يُعَدّ الفكر السلفيّ وما يرتبط به من مفاهيم الجهاد والتوحيد والخلافة وغيرها، من أكثر القضايا إثارةً للجدل من حيث طريقة الفهم ومنهجية السلوك، وأعقدها من حيث تشابك البراهين على مدى استقامتها أو انحرافها عن النهج الوسطي القويم، وأكثرها خطرًا من حيث أسلوب التطبيق وضرورة التعميم سواء على المستوى الفكري والديني أو على المستوى السياسي.
ويمثّل الأردن «بيئة» منتِجة ومصدِّرة لقيادات التيار السلفي الجهادي منذ ثمانينات القرن المنصرم؛ وهي قيادات تمتلك حضورًا نافذًا في التنظير والتأثير، وتلعب دورًا فاعلًا في بناء أيديولوجيا الحركة الجهادية العالمية، ورسم خريطة الصراع الإقليمي، وإعادة صياغة شكل التحالفات والعلاقات الدولية.
هذه المعطيات تشكّل دافعًا حيويًّا للاقتراب أكثر من هذه الظاهرة الخطيرة والمهمة ودراستها بتفاصيلها كافة، وهذا ما أخذه الباحث على عاتقه في هذا الكتاب.
