"انطلقت موجة الانتفاضات الشبابية في عدد من البلدان العربية بهدف التغيير، أو الإصلاح على الأقل، ونجحت بعض هذه الانتفاضات في إسقاط رؤوس أنظمتها، ودخلت في مراحل انتقالية تعلَّق عليها الأمل بإنجاز التغيير. وانتشرت موجة من التفاؤل والأمل في المنطقة والعالم بأن ربيعاً عربياً قادماً سيعم بوعوده كل بلدان المنطقة وسيحقق لشعوبها ما عجزت أنظمتها عن تحقيقه على مدى عقود. لكن تلك الموجة "انطلقت موجة الانتفاضات الشبابية في عدد من البلدان العربية بهدف التغيير، أو الإصلاح على الأقل، ونجحت بعض هذه الانتفاضات في إسقاط رؤوس أنظمتها، ودخلت في مراحل انتقالية تعلَّق عليها الأمل بإنجاز التغيير. وانتشرت موجة من التفاؤل والأمل في المنطقة والعالم بأن ربيعاً عربياً قادماً سيعم بوعوده كل بلدان المنطقة وسيحقق لشعوبها ما عجزت أنظمتها عن تحقيقه على مدى عقود. لكن تلك الموجة من التفاؤل والأمل لم يطُلْ مَدُّها حتى انسحبت بجَزْرها أمام رياح العنف والتطرف والانقسام التي اجتاحت الكثير من المجتمعات العربية، وبخاصة تلك التي طرق ذلك الربيع أبوابها. فانتقل المشهد العربي إلى مكان آخر يناقض كل تلك الصورة المخملية التي تصوَّرها الكثيرون بُعيد انطلاق انتفاضات الربيع العرب
