وترمي الدراسة إلى إيجاد إطار عصري ومتطور لمؤسسات المجتمع المدني؛ من خلال عقد مقارنات مع تجارب ناجحة لبعض دول الخليج العربي، وتحديد الأدوار الغائبة في منظومة المجتمع المدن تبحث هذه الدراسة الوضع القائم لمؤسسات المجتمع المدني السعودي، والآليات المنظمة للمؤسسات الحالية، والتشريعات المؤسِّسة، ومدى إحاطتها بالأدوار المطلوبة من هذه المؤسسات، وملاءمتها للتطورات الحاصلة في المجتمع.
وترمي الدراسة إلى إيجاد إطار عصري ومتطور لمؤسسات المجتمع المدني؛ من خلال عقد مقارنات مع تجارب ناجحة لبعض دول الخليج العربي، وتحديد الأدوار الغائبة في منظومة المجتمع المدني في السعودية، إلى جانب طرح مقاربات تُعنى بتطوير أداء هذه المؤسسات، والترغيب في مأسسة المجتمع السعودي وفق آليات تفعِّل الدور الشعبي وتزيد من استقلاليته.
