• ولد في مصر ٢٤/ ٢/ ١٩٦٧ م
• انتقل والده للعمل بالكويت عام ١٩٧٤ م
• درس في الكويت جميع المراحل الدراسية حتى تخرج من جامعة الكويت في علوم الكمبيوتر عام ١٩٨٨ م
• في الكويت اتصل بالشيخ عبد الله الجديع أثناء عمله في الشركة العالمية (صخر) في مشروع برمجة الكتب التسعة على الكمبيوتر ويقول أنه استفاد من الجديع عمليا أثناء عمله بالشركة
• في الكويت تزوج ورزقه الله المولود الأول
• بعد الغزو العراقي على الكويت عاد إلى مصر عام ١٩٩٠ م وأكمل عمله في الشركة العالمية أيضا حيث نقلت الشركة أعمالها إلى مصر وقد عمل فيها ٦ أشهر ثم تفرّغ للتصنيف
• في عام ١٩٩٨ م أسس مكتبة دار الضياء للنشر والتوزيع، وعن طريقها يطبع كتبه ويشرف عليها بنفسه
• له أربعة أولاد: عبد الرحمن وعبد الله وعبد السلام وعبد العزيز
