Urwat was a poet and cavalier in the pre-Islamic cavalry. He had humanistic morals, good ethics, and a socialist spirit that appeared in kind acts toward miserable, sick and weak people. His poems were nice, pleasant, and full of meaning and rhythm. The poems of al-Samawal were full of superiority and pride of ancestry. Included with the diwan are “Takhmis Qasaidihi fi al- Urwat was a poet and cavalier in the pre-Islamic cavalry.
