على الرغم من أن عمليات الفتح والتحرير هي العامل المباشر والفيصل في دخول المغرب والأندلس إلى حظيرة الإسلام، على الأقل من حكم الانتماء السياسي، لكن تغلغل الدين وثبوب قواعده، تطلب مجموعة أخرى كثيرة من العوامل التي ساعدت على انتشاره، اختلفت باختلاف الظروف والبيئة في كل من المغرب والأندلس. ويعرض هذا الكتاب بالتحليل والدراسة مجموعة من هذه العوامل والأسباب.
ففي المغرب تضافرت عوامل على الرغم من أن عمليات الفتح والتحرير هي العامل المباشر والفيصل في دخول المغرب والأندلس إلى حظيرة الإسلام، على الأقل من حكم الانتماء السياسي، لكن تغلغل الدين وثبوب قواعده، تطلب مجموعة أخرى كثيرة من العوامل التي ساعدت على انتشاره، اختلفت باختلاف الظروف والبيئة في كل من المغرب والأندلس. ويعرض هذا الكتاب بالتحليل والدراسة مجموعة من هذه العوامل والأسباب.
ففي المغرب تضافرت عوامل ساعدت على انتشار الإسلام وتثبيته، مثل إقامة المدن العربية، وجهود الدعاة من الصحابة والتابعين، فضلا عن المساجد والمدارس والربط، ودور الدول المستقلة التي قامت في المغرب.
أما الأندلس فلم تستغرق العمليات العسكرية فبها سوى مدة قليلة لا تتجاوز الأربع سنوات، بدأ الإسلام في أثنائها، وبعدها بالانتشار بالتدريج بالحكمة والموعضة الحسنة ، وإبداء التسامح مع ديانة السكان المحليين، نظرا لأن المسلمين لاأوائل كانوا يسيرون وفق سياسة مقصودة تهدف إلى تسامح كريم نابع من إدراك فطري أن هذه السياسة هي المثلى لاجتذاب السكان المحليين إلى الإسلام
