وجدير بالذكر الإشارة إلى أن كثيرين كتبوا عن قضية فلسطين وعن حرب 1948، كما قدمت رسائل علمية عديدة تناولت هذه القضية، لكن ظل كثير من الحقائق العلمية غائبًا، ولذلك فقد حرصت اللجنة على إعادة كتابة تاريخ هذه الفترة برؤية تحليلية نقدية اعتمادًا على ما توفر من وثائق حتى الآن، وعلى ضوء ما تم كشفه ورصده من حقائق ومعلومات؛ ولذلك يمكن القول في اطمئنان أن هذه الموسوعة التي ستصدر في عد وجدير بالذكر الإشارة إلى أن كثيرين كتبوا عن قضية فلسطين وعن حرب 1948، كما قدمت رسائل علمية عديدة تناولت هذه القضية، لكن ظل كثير من الحقائق العلمية غائبًا، ولذلك فقد حرصت اللجنة على إعادة كتابة تاريخ هذه الفترة برؤية تحليلية نقدية اعتمادًا على ما توفر من وثائق حتى الآن، وعلى ضوء ما تم كشفه ورصده من حقائق ومعلومات؛ ولذلك يمكن القول في اطمئنان أن هذه الموسوعة التي ستصدر في عدد من المجلدات تبدأ مع الحرب العالمية الأولى، وتشمل موقف مصر من نضال عرب فلسطين: مصر الرسمية، ومصر الشعبية بأحزابها المختلفة، والهيئات والجماعات الدينية، والأزهر الشريف، والمؤسسة الكنسيّة، والطائفة اليهودية، والشبان المسلمون، والإخوان المسلمون، وأخيرًا المؤتمرات الشعبية والرسمية التي شاركت فيها مصر من أجل فلسطين.
