يمثل هذا الكتاب، في الأصل، رسالة لنيل درجة الماجستير في التربية من معهد البحوث والدراسات العربية، التابع لجامعة الدول العربية، بالقاهرة.
وقد قامت مؤلفة الكتاب، بجهد ميداني وفكري فريد لبحث موضوع الدراسة، والذي يتعلق بحدث تاريخي كان له شأنه ومغزاه في وقته، وهو ما يطلق عليه" ثورة ظفار"، تلك الثورة المسلحة التي تمت داخل ذلك الجزء الواقع في "سلطنة عمان" حالياً، بين عامي 1965 و 1 يمثل هذا الكتاب، في الأصل، رسالة لنيل درجة الماجستير في التربية من معهد البحوث والدراسات العربية، التابع لجامعة الدول العربية، بالقاهرة.
وقد قامت مؤلفة الكتاب، بجهد ميداني وفكري فريد لبحث موضوع الدراسة، والذي يتعلق بحدث تاريخي كان له شأنه ومغزاه في وقته، وهو ما يطلق عليه" ثورة ظفار"، تلك الثورة المسلحة التي تمت داخل ذلك الجزء الواقع في "سلطنة عمان" حالياً، بين عامي 1965 و 1975 عموماً.
لم تكن تلك "الثورة" محض عمل مسلح، بل كان لها أبعاد متعددة، سياسية واجتماعية، وتربوية – تعليمية أيضاً.
وحول البعد التربوي – التعليمي الموجه نحو "جمهور الثورة" تدور هذه الدراسة، التي ركزت على التجربة التربوية، من زاوية مركزية هي: قيادة المجتمع نحو التغيير إنها دراسة لمقطع هام من مقاطع التاريخ العربي المعاصر، استخدمت فيه منهجية البحث المتكاملة، التي تمزج بين الاستبصار الفكري وأساليب العمل الميداني في البحوث الاجتماعية، وقد حصلت المؤلفة على وثائق نادرة، وقابلت عدداً من الشخصيات التاريخية من قيادة الثورة، في مواقع وجودهم المتباعدة جغرافياً على المستوى العربي، وكان أن قدمت في النهاية هذه الدراسة الفريدة التي يتضمنها هذا الكتاب.
